Tracie Twigg Bartemy is an Eastern Shore native, born and raised in Salisbury, MD, with a deep passion for education, community, and connection. As Chief Academic Officer for Somerset County Public Schools, she leads with heart, experience, and an unwavering commitment to children. Tracie also owns Travel Deals by Tracie, helping others chase adventure and live their dreams. When she’s not working, Tracie can be found having fun with friends and family, staying active in professional and community organizations, and proudly cheering on her two teacher daughters while embracing her role as Grammy to two grandchildren. Rooted in education, fueled by community, and inspired by exploration, along with being raised by community-minded parents—late, local radio personality R.T. Twigg and her always-welcoming mother, Virginia—believes that giving back is a way of life. This is why Tracie wanted to join in fundraising for Habitat for Humanity, supporting the creation of safe and affordable housing for families in need.
