Al has been in the kitchen since his early teens. He started Dinner Express Catering over a decade ago and is a favorite in the lower four Eastern Shore counties in Maryland, and in Sussex County, Delaware. Through the years he has mastered several cuisines and cooking styles. He believes in bold flavors but is partial to Cajun and Caribbean cuisine. He loves to accent meals with salsas, chutneys, and unique sauces.
Al is also the Nutrition Program Manager for MAC, Inc and oversees the Meals on Wheels program for the lower Eastern Shore of Maryland. They feed over 1000 senior citizens daily.
In recent years Al has taken a special interest in creating soups and stews. Stop by and try his New Orleans Gumbo w/Honey Cornbread for the Chefs for Habitat event, March 2, 2024, at the Wicomico County Youth and Civic Center.
