Alicia Boyd is the owner of Humble Hearts Catering & Events and having her own business has always been her dream. Since she was young, her goal was to become a chef. Often cooking by her grandmother, aunt, and mom’s side, she fell in love with being so creative with food; she loved the atmosphere this type of hospitality created. A graduate of Baltimore International College, with an Associate in Professional Cooking & Baking, the culinary arts continued to guide her in her studies and various roles in the culinary world. From 2004 to 2018, she worked in restaurants, event planning roles, and other catering operations.
This inspired her in 2018 to establish her own company. “Humble Hearts Catering & Events” is a boutique company that offers off-site catering services for intimate and mid-sized events in Maryland’s Upper Eastern Shore and surrounding areas. Focusing on social, weddings and corporate events, the mission of Humble Hearts is to curate superior culinary experiences through service, attention to detail and presentation. The vision for Humble Hearts is to cultivate a company that values relationships as well as the total hospitality experience for clients and their special events. This approach has really set the business apart and solidified building a company that others can trust and a community that others want to be a part of as a whole.
